AUGUST RECAP
As our regular visitors would have noticed our website have
not been updated for quite a while since the beginning of August.
This is due to problems with our service provider. Everything should
be back to normal now and we are trying to update all the information
we have onto the site as soon as possible. Some areas that will
have a lot of updates will be results
and second hand costumes page.
BABY
HILTON
Congratulations to Marcus and Karen Hilton MBE, former British
Open and World Professional Standard champions for the birth of
their baby son, Henry James, on 12 July 2001. Both mother
and baby are well.
AUGUSTO'S
NEW PARTNER
Augusto Schiavo, current Professional Modern World and UK
Open Champion, and Lyn Marriner have formally announced the
birth of their new partnership and that they will soon be competiting
on the floor. Great anticipation will undoubtedly be expected of
this new beginning of Augusto following the break up of his previous
partnership of 25 years which allegedly was the longest partnership
in the recent history of professional competitions.

2001 HONG
KONG RANKING WINNERS
The 2001 Hong Kong Ranking Ballroom Dancing Council Limited Ranking
List is finalised. In the Professional Latin section, David Sin
& Katherine Chak came in first. In the Professional Modern section,
Jimmy Chan & Betty Wan also maintained their leading position
in the first place winning the title 5 times in a row. The Hong
Kong Amateur DanceSport Federation ranking for the year of 2001
is also closed. Unfortunately there was no winner in the amateur
Latin ranking list. According to our sources, apparently since all
of the Latin comeptitors did not dance the required amount of competitions
(80% of the registered competitions held in Hong Kong) nobody was
qualified for the title. In the amateur Modern section, the winners
are 蘇志恒 / 楊淑儀.
All the couples accepted their awards as the 2001 champions on 3rd
November at the 2001 Hong Kong International Ballroom Dancing Championships.
